Delete Your Strategy Trader Account
Complete account and data removal
You can delete your Strategy Trader account at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes all of your personal data from our systems. This page explains the two ways to request deletion, exactly what gets removed, and the timeline you can expect.
1In-App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the mobile app:
- Open the Strategy Trader app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Open Settings, then scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your decision in the dialog. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.
Once confirmed in-app, you will be signed out automatically and your data will be erased within the timeline below.
2By Email
If you can’t access the app, send a deletion request from the email address associated with your account to:
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include: the email address registered to your account so we can verify ownership.
We will reply to confirm receipt and again once deletion is complete.
3What Gets Deleted
- Your profile (name, email, avatar, account credentials)
- All strategies you created, saved, or backtested
- Journal entries and attached notes
- Uploaded screenshots and chart images
- Notification and alert preferences
- API tokens, device sessions, and push-notification registrations
4What Is Retained
- Anonymized, aggregated usage analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Nothing else — the free version has no legally mandated retention requirements
We do not keep backups of your account beyond the deletion window. Once removed, your data cannot be restored.
5Timeline
Account deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. In most cases the data is removed within 72 hours; the 30-day window accounts for rolling backup purges.
6Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account
You don’t have to remove your whole account just to clean up specific data. The Strategy Trader app lets you delete individual items at any time, while keeping your account active:
- Journal entries — open an entry and tap the trash icon; the entry, its notes, and attached screenshots are removed.
- Screenshots — inside a journal entry, tap the small “×” on any thumbnail to delete that single screenshot (and any AI analysis tied to it).
- Strategies — open a strategy you created and choose Delete from its menu.
- Profile picture — Profile → Edit Profile → Remove Photo.
- API tokens — Profile → Settings → API Tokens → Revoke.
- Notification preferences — Profile → Settings → Notifications.
If you cannot perform a deletion from the app, email [email protected] from your registered address, describe exactly what you want removed, and we will action the request within 2 business days. Partial deletions follow the same 30-day backup-purge window as full account deletion.
